The Street Foods Exotic Places and its Hangover on Darjeeling Trip

I was visiting Darjeeling with my friend for the very first time. As our taxi started from Siliguri an as soon as the taxi started to move uphill we could feel the fresh air as it was pleasurably saying us welcome to Darjeeling, the Queen of Hills. The summit of sprawling hills seems talking to the clear skies was truly amazing and out of the world for me and my friend. Climbing the hill through a narrow road with numerous zig zag roads truly was a thrilling experience. The narrow road running in between the dense forest with cool and fresh air all around put spell on us, and we were truly mesmerized by the bounteous nature as never witnessed before.

We reached Darjeeling For More Click Here .. href="http://globalvisiontours.com/Darjeeling.aspx">http://globalvisiontours.com/Darjeeling.aspx</a>and I remember our driver had dropped us near Chowk Bazaar; latterly I came to know that it was the oldest market and really it was very busy. My head was aching like thousand devils I don’t know it was due to cold or http://globalvisiontours.com/Darjeeling.aspx what but it was really taking off my happiness of being in Darjeeling. We asked the cab driver as we got down to the nearest medicos as to buy some ‘disprin’ as he pointed us to a medical shop it was not far away from us.

As we moving towards the medical shop we witnessed a Gol Ghar Resturant in the bazaar and thought of coming of there after buying the medicines. As we were buying medicines we asked that man the best place for snacks and tea in this area. He then very politely pointed to us a Sweet Shop named Naryaan Das just front of the shop. We went there and had tea along with hot ‘samosas’ relishing and I took my medicine too. After some moment I was feeling better and then we came out of that restaurant and just beside that restaurant we saw enormous crowd covering a man. As we went closer to it we saw that man was selling ‘Aloo Chaat’ and came to know it was very famous here. We gave it a try Rs 10 per plate and really it was very delectable and mouthwatering.

Then around 4 pm we reached our hotel where we had booked in advance a room for 2 nights and two days in Hotel Seven Seventeen, here we unwind our self and relaxed a bit. After than we came to the receptionist she was a very beautiful lady with smiling face, we asked the way to Chowrasta as we had heard about this place. She smilingly replied first time in Darjeeling and I to smiled and replied yes. She said my shift is over you can wait for five minutes I too am going to meet my friend in Chowrasta and if you don’t mind I can walk up with you. The very next moment without thinking of anything I uttered yea!! Why not?? She smiled again.

Well when walking with her she like our guide offered and showed the places, it was very good and we were enjoying it and thinking how friendly she was. We were on the Mall Road she said it was very busy street and then she said I have to leave now and sorry for that. I said you should not be sorry and we are very thankful to you for helping us till here and then she departed from us. We were on Mall Road just beside one of the oldest coffee café in Darjeeling named as Keventers. Just beside the Keventers we saw numerous ladies and men roasting fresh corns and thus we corn on the cob which was offered with salts and lemons rubbed on it. Truly streets foods in Darjeeling seemed to be very hot and stimulating.

Well the curtain of my first trip to Darjeeling doesn’t drops here, I will mention about numerous exciting places, delectable foods and lot more on my visit on my next post.
